Research activities

My research seeks to understand how socio-ecosystems, where human activities and biodiversity meet, work through a cross-disciplinary approach. By exploring how land uses and biodiversity dynamics unfold across a single territory, I investigate the governance systems shaping plant and animal communities.

 My work, mostly within an applied research framework, spans a diversity of ecosystems, including forests (mixed and pine forests, hedgerows), herbaceous habitats (dunes, calcareous grasslands) and aquatic environments (lagoons). My research draws on a variety of field studies, ranging from the analysis of landscape evolution and biodiversity on military lands, to the study of lagoonal socio-ecosystems subject to algal blooms, integrating sociological surveys alongside faunal and floral surveys.

This research sits at the intersection of landscape ecology, community ecology and sociology, bringing together concepts and methods from these disciplines.
