Research activities

My work at UMR EVA is part of the ECOTONES project (FEDER–Région Normandie), at the interface between geography and ecology. This project investigates how the historical dynamics of ecotones shape biodiversity. These transition zones between forests, bocage and arable land follow contrasting trajectories of change, whose stability or instability may modulate the communities they support.

As a research engineer, I lead biodiversity surveys in hedgerows and forest edges selected to capture the diversity of landscape trajectories across the Norman bocage. My work spans several taxonomic groups (flora, pollinators, birds and bats) and combines field surveys, species identification, statistical analyses and spatial analysis of the landscape matrix.
